Policy

Prior to Appointment

  • Shave the treatment area at least 24 hours before your appointment. Laser hair removal targets the pigment in the hair follicle. Shaving ensures the laser can directly penetrate the follicle, maximizing treatment effectiveness by avoiding surface singeing.

  • Ensure your skin is clean and free from barriers like dirt, oils, or skincare products before treatment. This allows the laser to effectively reach the hair follicles, enhancing the precision and efficacy of the procedure.

  • Avoid using chemical exfoliants, such as AHAs and BHAS, for 1-2 weeks prior to laser hair removal. These products can increase skin sensitivity, potentially leading to irritation or burns during treatment, which already heats the skin and targets hair follicle pigment.

  • Do not take photosensitizing medications, blood thinners, topical treatments, antibiotics, or undergo photosensitizing skin treatments during laser sessions. These can heighten skin sensitivity to light, increasing the risk of adverse reactions like burns or skin color changes.

  • Keep the skin surface clean and free from products such as deodorant, make up, moisturizer or any other products during laser hair removal. This minimizes safety risks associated with exposure to the laser's energy and ensures a safer procedure overall.
